The Orangery
Regeneration of a 1920s coaching inn into a general nursing and dementia care unit.
BBA designed and developed the conversion and extension of a former 1920s Englishcombe Inn, in Englishcombe, Bath. The building provided a 40 bedroom nursing home for general nursing and dementia care.
Central to the scheme was the creation of a spacious sunlit ‘orangery’ for communal use, which the building was subsquently named after. Further designs include a sundeck and bridge access to tiered, landscape gardens.
